Maintenance

Est. 2019 · 7+ yrs 24/7 emergency dispatch $0 diagnostic w/ repair

Quick answer

Maintenance in our service area typically runs $80-$200 per visit. 60-90 minutes per system. Service Agreement members get priority dispatch + 10% off repairs and replacements.

What we do for you

The full scope.

  • AC tune-up (refrigerant, capacitor, condenser coil clean, drain, filter)
  • Furnace tune-up (combustion, heat exchanger inspection, blower, ignition, gas pressure)
  • Heat pump dual-season service (cooling + heating mode verification)
  • Mini-split coil clean and refrigerant verification
  • JCE Service Agreement (annual heat + cool visit, priority dispatch, $15/mo or $180/yr)
  • Manufacturer warranty maintenance (most warranties require documented annual service)

How the job runs

Diagnose → quote → fix → verify.

01

Inspect

Full visual + electrical check. Capacitor microfarad reading, contactor pitting, refrigerant pressures, blower amp draw documented.

02

Clean

Outdoor coil washed, drain line cleared, blower wheel cleaned if needed, filter changed.

03

Test

Run system through full cycle. Measure supply temp split (should be 18-22°F on cooling, 50-70°F rise on heating).

04

Report

Written tune-up report. Photos of any developing issues. We flag stuff that will become a repair, not just stuff that already broke.

What it costs

Real numbers, not estimates.

Range Tier What it covers
$80-$120 Single tune-up AC or furnace, one system, one visit
$150-$200 Dual tune-up AC + furnace, one home, single visit
$15/mo or $180/yr JCE Service Agreement 1 annual heat + cool visit, 10% off repairs, diagnostic fees waived, priority dispatch

National tune-up range: $80-$200 per visit (Bob Vila, 2026). Annual service plans typically pay for themselves in priority dispatch alone during summer or winter peaks.

Common local issues

Built for our climate.

Pre-summer capacitor check

Spring AC tune-ups catch weak capacitors before the 110°F afternoons that kill them. Replacing a $50 capacitor in March beats a $500 emergency dispatch in July.

Fall combustion check

Fall furnace tune-ups verify CO levels, gas pressure, and heat exchanger integrity before cold snaps. Most CO incidents happen in the first cold week, not mid-winter.

Coil cleaning frequency

HD wind blows coil-restricting debris year-round. We recommend coil cleaning twice a year (spring + fall) for HD installs vs. annual for coastal homes.

Manufacturer warranty requires documentation

Most equipment warranties require annual professional maintenance with documentation. Skipping voids the warranty. Service agreements provide the documentation automatically.

Brands we install

Brand-agnostic. homeowner-first.

Very kind and proffesional company. Cody came out the first day and gave us a quote. JC scheduled us for the work right away, So we did not have to wait long. Two other companies previously had told us there was no guarantee what they could do would work or even be able to enter our attic but Cody assured us all the issues could be fixed and they would have no problem entering our attic. They arrived on time rolled out drop cloths and plastic, changed our ducts and worked on a few other things all in a day and cleaned up after. We are very pleased and greatful for all the hardwork they did. Our ac is running now better than ever. We are ready for winter and next summer. Highly recommend. Thank you Cody, Tyler, Jon, and Michael.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should HVAC be serviced?
Twice a year minimum: spring AC tune-up before summer heat, fall furnace tune-up before cold weather. Heat pumps need both seasons because they run year-round.
How much does a tune-up cost?
Single-system tune-up runs $80-$120. Dual tune-up (AC + furnace) $150-$200. JCE Service Agreement $15/mo or $180/yr — annual heat + cool visit + 10% off repairs.
What is included in a tune-up?
Capacitor reading, contactor inspection, refrigerant pressure, condenser coil clean, drain line clear, filter change, blower amp draw, supply temperature split, full cycle test. Furnace adds combustion analysis, heat exchanger inspection, gas pressure check, ignition test.
Are service agreements worth it?
For most HD homes, yes. Priority dispatch during summer / winter peak alone is worth it. Plus the diagnostic fee is waived on emergency calls and you get 10% off repairs and replacements. Most clients add the agreement after one emergency call.
What if you find a problem during the tune-up?
Written report with photos. We quote the repair on the spot but do not pressure you to do it. Critical safety issues (CO leak, refrigerant leak, exposed wiring) we will recommend addressing before we leave.
Will skipping maintenance void my warranty?
Most manufacturer warranties require annual professional maintenance with documentation. Skipping voids the labor portion (and sometimes the parts portion). Service agreement records satisfy the warranty requirement automatically.
How long does a tune-up take?
60-90 minutes per system. Dual tune-ups (AC + furnace) typically two hours total.
Do you service brands you did not install?
Yes. Tune-ups are brand-agnostic across all major residential brands (Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Bryant, Bosch, Rheem).
